Thank you for visiting Courtlandia, a kingdom overflowing with great books, vegan food, and imagination. Population: One. I’m Courtney, and I welcome you to my world.

In 2014, I read more than an average of one book per week, and as we commence this new year, I look forward to reading fifty-some more wonderful works of fiction, nonfiction, and poetry. However, my new hope is to share my thoughts on what I read with all of you through this website.

I’ve been running this site for a few years now, and didn’t post much in 2016, but hope to get things going again this year! I’ll continue posting book reviews, recipes, and some of my writing, and will also work on developing my new “Vegan in Portland” section. Here, I will review vegan restaurants, and potentially some vegan products, that I visit. While I will focus on my home-base of Portland, I will also include places I visit in other cities as well.

I hope my reviews entertain and inspire you to read more and eat more yummy plant-based/vegan foods as well. Please let me know if you have any book, restaurant, or recipe recommendations for me.
